Lymphoma
Lymphosarcoma
Aussi appelé: Malignant lymphoma, Lymphosarcoma
En bref
Lymphoma is a common and treatable cancer of the immune system in dogs and cats. Originating in solid organs like the lymph nodes, spleen, or intestines, it presents in several distinct forms. Learn how to recognize the signs, what diagnostic tests your vet will perform, and how modern chemotherapy protocols can extend your pet's life while preserving their daily quality of life.

TL;DR.
Formes: multicentrique (chien frequent), alimentaire (chat frequent), mediastinale, extranodale (peau, oeil, rein, SNC).
Causes et facteurs de risque
Multifactoriel. Chat: association FeLV/FIV. Environnement (fumee, pesticides) suspecte. Age moyen a age.
Signes a surveiller
- Lymphadenopathie (cardinal, multicentrique)
- Lethargie, dyspnee/toux, perte de poids, anorexie, vomissements/diarrhee (frequents)
- PU/PD (hypercalcemie), signes oculaires/cutanes, eternuements, signes neuro (occasionnels)

Des changements oculaires comme l'uveite peuvent accompagner le lymphome.
Comment les veterinaires diagnostiquent
Cytologie FNA, biopsie (gold standard), echographie (paroi intestinale), bilan d'extension (NFS, biochimie, FeLV/FIV, radio/echo), immunophenotype (flow/PARR).

L'echo montre l'epaississement intestinal caracteristique du lymphome alimentaire.
Options de traitement
Systemique: multi-agents CHOP/CEOP (reference); COP Protocol en alternative; sauvetage Lomustine, Cytarabine (SNC). Objectif: qualite de vie et remission.
Pronostic
Sans traitement: ~4–8 semaines. Chien CHOP: ~80–90% remission, ~12–16 mois. Chat CHOP: ~65–75%, ~6–9 mois. Intestinal a petites cellules (chat): souvent >2 ans.
Prevention
Chat: interieur, protection FeLV. Moins de fumee/pesticides. Examens reguliers des seniors.
Quand appeler le veterinaire
Urgent: detresse respiratoire, cecite brutale, collapsus, vomissements/diarrhee persistants, oedeme facial, fievre/hypothermie.
