Feline hepatic lipidosis, commonly known as fatty liver disease, is a serious, life-threatening metabolic condition where fat builds up rapidly in a cat's liver cells. Often triggered by a period of decreased appetite, this condition requires prompt veterinary intervention. Fortunately, with early diagnosis and aggressive, long-term nutritional support, the disease is highly reversible, and most cats can make a full recovery.

Nguyên nhân và yếu tố nguy cơ

Dấu hiệu
- Chính: biếng ăn, vàng da, uể oải
- Thường: nôn, sụt cân, mất nước
- Thỉnh thoảng: dấu hiệu thần kinh, yếu cơ
Tai và niêm mạc vàng là dấu hiệu chính.
Chẩn đoán
Bệnh sử, xét nghiệm máu, siêu âm, thường chọc tế bào gan.
Siêu âm: gan sáng do mỡ.
Điều trị
- Dinh dưỡng hỗ trợ sớm (ống thông)
- Dịch truyền và điện giải
- Chống nôn và hỗ trợ; điều trị nguyên nhân biếng ăn
Tiên lượng
Tốt hơn nếu dinh dưỡng sớm; không hỗ trợ thì xấu.
Phòng ngừa
Tránh nhịn ở mèo thừa cân; xử trí biếng ăn sớm.
Khi nào gọi bác sĩ thú y
Cấp cứu: mèo không ăn 24-48 giờ, vàng da, nôn, yếu nặng.
