Patella glir i femurs trochlea. Luksasjon medialt (vanlig) eller lateralt. Grad I–IV. Mekanisk halthet og bruskskade.
Årsaker og risikofaktorer
Ofte medfødt (grunn fure, feilstilling); sjelden traumatisk. Medial: små/toy; lateral: store raser, ofte med hofteleddsdysplasi. Katt sjeldnere, mest medial.
Tegn
- Hoppende gange
- Halthet
- Varus (hjulbent) ved medial
- Lav holdning, tær innover
- Sjelden: akutt ikke-belastning
Hjulbenthet er vanlig ved medial luksasjon.
Diagnostikk
Palpasjon og grad I–IV. Røntgen kne og hofte: fure, akse, artrose, samtidige sykdommer.
Røntgen vurderer benakse og hofte.
Behandling
Konservativt I / mild II: vekt, lav belastning, leddstøtte. Kirurgi symptomatisk II–IV: trochleoplastikk, TTT, bløtvev; osteotomier ved IV.
Prognose
I–III etter kirurgi ofte god/utmerket. IV reservert til dårlig; artrose mulig.
Forebygging
Ikke avle på affiserte dyr. Idealvekt fra ung alder.
Når ringe veterinær
Time ved hoppende gange eller hjulbenthet. Akutt ved plutselig ikke-belastning, sterk smerte eller manglende reising.
