Hva er det?

Årsaker og risikofaktorer
Parasitter, parvovirus, fremmedlegeme, gastroenteritt, svulster. Predisposisjon: schäfer, labradoodle, golden retriever; unge oftere.

- Oppkast
- Magesmerter
- Sparsom blodig diaré
- Palpabel pølseformet masse
- Anoreksi, depresjon
Kraftige magesmerter og spent buk er typisk.
Diagnostikk
Palpasjon, ultralyd (blink), røntgen, kontrastklyster eller koloskopi. Eksplorativ laparotomi.
Behandling
Kirurgi: reponering hvis vital, ellers reseksjon og anastomose. Væske, analgesi, antibiotika.
Prognose
Ofte god ved tidlig kirurgi uten peritonitt.
Forebygging
Ormekur, vaksinasjon, langsomme fôrbytter, unngå svelgbare gjenstander.
Når ringe veterinær
Straks ved vedvarende oppkast, kraftige magesmerter, blodig sparsom avføring eller kollaps.
