Parasit, parvovirus, benda asing, gastroenteritis, tumor. Predisposisi: German Shepherd, labradoodle, golden retriever; lebih pada muda.
Tanda
- Muntah
- Sakit abdomen
- Cirit-birit berdarah sedikit
- Jisim teraba berbentuk sosej
- Anoreksia, depresi
Sakit abdomen teruk dan abdomen tegang adalah tipikal.
Diagnosis
Palpasi, ultrasound (sasaran), x-ray, enema kontras atau kolonoskopi. Laparotomi eksploratori.
Rawatan
Pembedahan: reduksi jika hidup, jika tidak reseksi dan anastomosis. Cecair, analgesik, antibiotik.
Prognosis
Sering baik dengan pembedahan awal tanpa peritonitis.
Pencegahan
Ubat cacing, vaksinasi, tukar diet perlahan, elak objek tertelan.
Bila hubungi doktor haiwan
Segera jika muntah berterusan, sakit abdomen teruk, najis berdarah sedikit atau kolaps.
