Diagnostik
Seruminsulin ved dokumenteret hypoglykæmi; lavt fruktosamin; CT/ultralyd; kirurgisk exploration.
Billeddiagnostik hjælper med at finde tumoren.
Behandling
Akut: dextrose og glukokortikoider. Kirurgi foretrækkes. Medicinsk: diazoxid, oktreotid, streptozocin, hyppige måltider.
Prognose
Helbredelse sjælden; med operation og medicin ofte længere overlevelse.
Forebyggelse
Ingen primærforebyggelse; glukose hos risikoseniorer.
