ما هو؟
ورم خلايا بيتا يفرز الإنسولين بلا ضابط، فينخفض الجلوكوز ويُحرم الدماغ من الطاقة.
الأسباب وعوامل الخطر
ورم؛ استعداد الراعي الألماني واللابرادور والذهبي والملاكم والكوكَر والسيامي. شائع في القندس.
العلامات
- ضعف واختلاجات (أساسية)
- انهيار، رنح، خمول
- سلوك غريب، رعاش، فرط أكل
الضعف والخمول علامات مبكرة.
التشخيص
إنسولين مصل مع نقص سكر موثّق؛ فركتوزامين منخفض؛ CT/موجات صوتية؛ استكشاف جراحي.
التصوير يساعد على تحديد مكان الورم.
العلاج
طوارئ: دكستروز وكورتيكوستيرويد. الجراحة مفضلة. طبي: ديازوكسيد، أوكتريوتيد، ستربتوزوسين، وجبات متكررة.
المآل
حذر للشفاء التام؛ مع الجراحة والعلاج الطبي قد يطول البقاء.
الوقاية
لا وقاية أولية؛ فحص الجلوكوز في كبار السن المعرضين.
متى تتصل بالطبيب البيطري
اختلاجات أو انهيار أو ضعف شديد: طارئ. شراب على اللثة فقط إن كان واعياً.
