Nasal Tumors
Juga dikenali sebagai: Nasal Neoplasia, Nasal Neoplasms, Primary Neoplasms of the Nasal Cavity
Ringkasnya
Nasal tumors are uncommon but serious growths in the nasal cavities of dogs and cats. While most are malignant and locally aggressive, early detection combined with radiation or chemotherapy can help manage symptoms and extend your pet's quality of life.

TL;DR. Jarang tetapi serius dalam rongga hidung; kebanyakan malignan dan agresif setempat.
Rongga hidung rapuh: tumor setempat cepat merosakkan.
Apakah itu?
Tumor di rongga atau sinus (karsinoma, sarkoma, limfoma). Metastasis awal jarang; kerosakan setempat kuat.
Punca dan faktor risiko
Sebab tidak diketahui. Irritan persekitaran mungkin. Lebih pada yang tua; tiada baka tetap.
Tanda yang perlu diperhatikan
- Lelehan hidung (kardinal)
- Epistaksis, aliran udara berkurang, bersin
- Kadang: asimetri muka, eksoftalmos, tanda neuro

Lelehan unilateral dan bengkak muka ringan isyarat awal.
Bagaimana doktor haiwan mendiagnosis
Pemeriksaan, CT/MRI, rinoskopi, biopsi (piawaian emas), staging; kucing FeLV/FIV.
"Nasal tumors usually occur in older animals but cannot be excluded from the differential diagnosis of young dogs and cats. No breed predisposition has been consistently identified."
Pilihan rawatan
Radioterapi pilihan utama. Pembedahan sahaja jarang cukup. Kemoterapi (limfoma). Paliatif: NSAID, steroid.
Prognosis
Tanpa rawatan: beberapa bulan. Dengan radiasi sering 12-18 bulan atau lebih.
Pencegahan
Nilai awal lelehan kronik atau pendarahan.
Bila hubungi doktor haiwan
Kecemasan: epistaksis berterusan, sesak nafas teruk, tanda neuro.
Pada baka tertentu
Tiada baka tetap; tanda hidung kronik perlu disiasat.
