Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis
Aussi appelé: Degenerative Joint Disease, DJD, OA
En bref
Osteoarthritis, or degenerative joint disease, is a chronic, progressive condition causing joint pain and stiffness in dogs and cats. While it cannot be cured, a combination of weight management, targeted exercise, and veterinary-prescribed medications can significantly improve your pet's comfort and quality of life.

TL;DR.
Chien: dysplasie hanche/coude, luxation rotulienne, OCD, risque croisé. L'obésité accélère. Chat: vieillissement; sous-diagnostiqué.
Signes
- Douleur (cardinale; souvent silencieuse)

Quand appeler
Réévaluer si mobilité baisse. Urgent: non appui, douleur sévère, effets AINS.
