- Halthed og haevelse (hyppigt)

Hvordan dyrlæger diagnosticerer
Rontgen af benet; thorax 3 projektioner eller CT; FNA/biopsi.
"Once a presumptive radiographic diagnosis has been established and if the owners are contemplating treatment, thoracic radiographs or CT should be obtained to determine the extent of the disease."
Behandling
Amputation + kemo (Carboplatin, Cisplatin, Doxorubicin). Palliativt: Pamidronate.
Prognose
Amputation alene ~4-5 mdr; med kemo ~12-18 mdr. Kat bedre.
Forebyggelse
Udred halthed tidligt.
Hvornår ringe til dyrlægen
Akut: pludselig svaer halthed, dyspno eller hoste.
