Jak diagnozują
Ostrożna palpacja (watroba krucha). RTG. Ostateczne potwierdzenie czesto chirurgiczne.

Leczenie
Bez calkowitej niedroznosci: plyny, Metoclopramide (nigdy przy calkowitej niedroznosci), analgezja, karmienie strzykawka.
Calkowita niedroznosc: pilna gastrotomia.
Rokowanie
Dobre przy wczesnym wykryciu. Ostrożne przy calkowitej niedroznosci, hipotermii lub wstrzasie.
Zapobieganie
Siano bez limitu (80-90% diety); swieza woda; szczotkowanie w linieniu; ruch.
Kiedy dzwonic
Nagłe: nie je >12 h; brak stolca >12 h; zimny/letargiczny; garbaty, bruksizm, twarde brzucho.
