What is BooAI?
BooAI is Peqaboo's built-in AI assistant designed specifically for pet health. Unlike generic AI chatbots, BooAI knows your pet — it reads your pet's profile, health records, and past conversations to give personalized advice.
What Can BooAI Help With?
- Health Questions — "My dog has been scratching a lot, what could it be?" BooAI analyzes symptoms in context of your pet's breed, age, and history.
- Diet & Nutrition — "Can my cat eat tuna?" Get breed-specific dietary advice.
- Behavior — "Why does my dog chew furniture?" Understand common behavioral issues.
- Medication — "What's the right flea prevention for a 5kg puppy?" Get dosage guidance.
- Emergency Assessment — "My cat ate a lily, what do I do?" Get immediate guidance on urgent situations.
Important: BooAI provides general health information and guidance. It is not a replacement for professional veterinary care. For emergencies, always contact your vet or emergency animal hospital immediately.
How to Start a Conversation
- Open the Chat tab in the bottom navigation.
- Tap on BooAI — it's pinned at the top of your chat list.
- Type your question or use voice input.
- Select which pet you're asking about if you have multiple pets.
Getting Better Answers
The more context you give BooAI, the better its responses:
- Be specific: "My 3-year-old golden retriever has been limping on the front left leg for 2 days" is better than "my dog is limping".
- Share photos: You can send photos of symptoms — skin conditions, eye issues, unusual stool, etc.
- Mention changes: Any recent changes in diet, environment, or routine can be important.
- Follow up: BooAI remembers your conversation context. Ask follow-up questions naturally.
Proactive Follow-ups
BooAI doesn't just answer questions — it proactively follows up. If you discussed a health concern, BooAI may send you a check-in message a few days later to ask how your pet is doing and whether you visited the vet.
Tip: Keep your pet's daily logs updated. BooAI uses this data to notice trends and alert you to potential issues before they become serious.
