Ferret Lymphoma
Lymphosarcoma
Auch bekannt als: Lymphosarcoma, LSA, Malignant Lymphoma
Kurz gesagt
Lymphoma is a common and serious cancer of the lymphatic system in ferrets. It presents in two distinct forms: an aggressive juvenile form in young ferrets and a slower-moving, chronic form in older adults. Recognizing the symptoms early and understanding your diagnostic and treatment options can help you maximize your ferret's quality of life.

TL;DR.
Juvenil (lymphoblastisch): aggressiv, oft mediastinale Masse. Adult (lymphozytär): indolenter.
Ursachen und Risikofaktoren
Ursache unklar. Das Alter steuert die wahrscheinliche Form. Keine dokumentierte Rasseprädisposition.
Anzeichen
- Häufig: Gewichtsverlust, Anorexie, Lethargie, Splenomegalie, periphere Lymphadenopathie
- Gelegentlich (kritisch bei Jungen): Dyspnoe, Pleuraerguss durch mediastinale Masse

Lethargie und stumpfes Fell sind unspezifische Zeichen, die eine Untersuchung rechtfertigen.
Diagnose
Untersuchung (Milz und Knoten). FNA/Zytologie zuerst; Histopathologie (Goldstandard). Röntgen; Abdomen-Ultraschall zur Probenführung.

Abdomen-Ultraschall hilft bei Organbewertung und Biopsie-Führung.
Behandlung
Multiagenten-Chemotherapie (modifizierte COP/CHOP): Glukokortikoide, Cyclophosphamid, Vincristin, Doxorubicin. Frettchen vertragen Chemo oft gut. Palliativ: nur Glukokortikoide.
Prognose
Juvenil: schlecht (Wochen-Monate). Adult: oft 6-18 Monate mit Chemo oder Steroiden. Ziel: Lebensqualität.
Vorbeugung
Keine spezifische Prävention. Früherkennung: jährliche Checks (jung) und alle 6 Monate (>3 Jahre).
Wann den Tierarzt rufen
Notfall: Atemnot oder Maulatmung; blaue/sehr blasse Schleimhäute; Kollaps; totale Anorexie >12-24 h. Zeitnah bei Gewichtsverlust, Knoten oder geblähtem Bauch.
