Entry must use an approved route and transport company. A carrier being pet-friendly on another route does not make a Hong Kong–Great Britain flight approved; obtain acceptance from the operating carrier and preserve the booking evidence.

    Chip before vaccination; 21 full days after a primary vaccination

    Microchip and qualifying rabies vaccination

    The microchip must be implanted or read before the rabies vaccination recorded for travel. Keep vaccination validity continuous; a lapsed booster can turn the next dose into a new primary course with a new wait.

    Certificate issued no more than 10 days before entry

    Current GB pet health certificate and declaration

    Hong Kong uses the GB pet health certificate, signed and dated by an official vet authorised by the exporting government. Pair it with the required non-commercial declaration and exact travel evidence.

    Dogs: 24 to 120 hours before scheduled arrival

    Dog tapeworm treatment and final document match

    A vet must administer and record an accepted praziquantel-equivalent tapeworm treatment in the required window. Recalculate if arrival changes, then match chip, treatment time, certificate, owner journey and operating route.
