- **目的：** この注射は、動物が健康な赤血球を作り、貧血を治療または予防するために必要な鉄分を供給します。 - **投与方法：** この薬は筋肉内注射として投与されます。 - **豚の飼い主様へ：** ハム（後腿）の裏側の筋肉に注射してください。4週齢以上の豚に注射すると、筋肉組織に永久的な着色が生じる可能性があることに注意してください。 - **副作用：** 注射部位に軽度の痛みが生じることがあります。注射直後に脱力感や重度の過敏反応の兆候がないか観察し、異常が見られた場合は直ちに獣医師に連絡してください。
用量はペットの状態に応じて獣医師が決定します。獣医師の指導なしに人用医薬品や他のペットの処方薬を与えないでください。

投与方法
考えられる副作用
- Prostration and muscular weakness (pigs)
- Anaphylactoid reactions (rarely fatal)
- Nausea, vomiting, and sudden death within 1 hour (in pigs born to Vitamin E/Selenium deficient sows)
- Muscle tissue staining at injection site (in pigs >4 weeks old)
- Injection site sarcomas (associated with large SC doses in laboratory animals)
注意事項と禁忌
- Known hypersensitivity to iron dextran
- Any anemia other than iron deficiency anemia
- Acute renal infections
- Concurrent use with oral iron supplements
- **Pregnancy:** High dosages may cause increased incidences of teratogenicity and embryotoxicity (FDA Category C). Use only when clearly necessary at recommended doses. **Nutritional Deficiencies:** Extreme caution in pigs born to Vitamin E/Selenium deficient sows due to risk of sudden death. **Laboratory Interference:** Large doses may discolor serum brown, causing falsely elevated serum bilirubin and falsely decreased serum calcium values. Serum iron values may not be meaningful for up to 3 weeks post-injection. **Incompatibilities:** Physically incompatible when mixed with oxytetracycline HCl and sulfadiazine sodium.
