Uterine adenocarcinoma is the most common cancer affecting female rabbits, particularly unspayed females over three years of age. This slow-growing but malignant tumor can be cured with early surgical intervention, but it carries a poor prognosis if it spreads to other organs.

Qu'est-ce que c'est ?
Tumeur maligne de l'endomètre, à croissance lente mais métastases pulmonaires/hépatiques possibles. Jusqu'à 50–80 % des intactes vers 3–4 ans.
Causes et facteurs de risque
Non stérilisation et âge ; stimulation oestrogénique chronique. Dutch et Havana à risque accru.
Signes
- Hématurie ou saignement vulvaire (cardinal)
- Muqueuses pâles, utérus augmenté (fréquents)
- Abattement, anorexie, dyspnée (occasionnels)

Abattement et posture voûtée peuvent indiquer douleur ou anémie.
Diagnostic
Palpation, échographie, radiographies thorax/abdomen ; histopathologie (or) de l'utérus retiré.

L'échographie visualise épaississement et masses utérines.
Traitement
Ovariohystérectomie si pas de métastases. Support : meloxicam, buprénorphine, nutrition et fluides.
Pronostic
Excellent si localisé et opéré à temps ; mauvais avec métastases.
Prévention
Stérilisation à 4–6 mois : prévention totale.
Quand appeler le vétérinaire
Saignement, dyspnée, anorexie >12 h, abattement extrême : urgence.
