Trypan Blue

> **Important Note:** Your dog's skin, mucous membranes, eyes, and urine will turn a **bluish color**. This is a normal, expected effect of the medication and is not harmful! - **Staining Warning:** The blue tint in urine and bodily secretions can permanently stain fabrics, carpets, and furniture. Please take precautions at home to protect your belongings. - **Duration:** The blue discoloration will gradually fade over several weeks. - **Follow-up Care:** This drug only controls the symptoms; it **does not cure** the infection. Your pet will absolutely need follow-up treatment with another medication within a month to completely eliminate the parasite.

Safety in nursing offspring is not established. - **Laboratory Interference:** The dye tints plasma blue, which can artificially alter photometric-based blood test results and complicate the microscopic evaluation of blood smears.
