Hydrocortisone aceponate

Apply this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. * **Do not apply to open sores or ulcerated skin.** * If using the ear drops, your vet must confirm the ear drum is intact before starting treatment. * Avoid spraying near the eyes or mouth. * Wash your hands after applying the medication, or wear gloves. * Contact your vet if you notice redness in the ear, if the skin appears unusually thin, or if your older dog seems to have trouble hearing.

- Epidermal atrophy (with protracted use)
- Aural erythema (otic preparation)
- Transient hearing loss in geriatric dogs (rare, otic preparation)
- Transient local erythema
- Skin thinning or atrophy (rare, usually only with prolonged use)
- Delayed wound healing
- Systemic glucocorticoid effects (extremely rare due to rapid metabolism)
注意事項與禁忌
- Ulcerated skin
- Perforated tympanic membrane (ear drum)
- Cutaneous ulcers
- Known hypersensitivity to corticosteroids
- Concurrent systemic viral or fungal infections
- Use on large surface areas for prolonged periods without veterinary supervision
- > **Do not use on ulcerated skin** or if the **ear drum is perforated**. * **Growth Warning:** Use with caution in dogs <7 months old, as glucocorticoids are known to slow growth. * **Surface Area Limits:** The total body surface treated should not exceed a surface corresponding to a treatment of two flanks (from the spine to the mammary chains, including shoulders and thighs). * **Infections:** Microbial infections should be treated appropriately prior to use. * **Monitoring:** Patients should be monitored appropriately during long-term use to watch for epidermal atrophy or systemic absorption.
