Cautions & contraindications
- Dystocia due to abnormal fetal presentation (unless corrected)
- Closed or unrelaxed cervix
- Known hypersensitivity to oxytocin
- Significant cephalopelvic disproportion
- Obstetrical emergencies where surgical intervention (C-section) is warranted
- Pregnancy (for nasally administered oxytocin)

Drug interactions
