Name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and other details you provide during registration or profile setup.

Pet Information

Pet name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, health records, vaccination history, photos, and other details you add to pet profiles.

Usage Data

Information about how you use the Platform, including features accessed, pages viewed, time spent, interactions with content, search queries, and crash reports.

Device Information

Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, browser type, IP address, and mobile network information.

Location Data

With your consent, we collect precise or approximate location data to provide location-based services such as BooMap (finding nearby veterinary clinics and pet-friendly places).

Photos, Videos & Media

Photos and videos you upload for AI analysis (health triage, gait analysis, lab reports), pet profiles, community posts, or AI portrait generation.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features
  • Process and deliver AI-powered analysis (BooAI, gait analysis, bill detection, lab report analysis)
  • Personalise your experience and recommend relevant content
  • Enable community features, including posts, comments, and social interactions
  • Facilitate communication between users and veterinary professionals
  • Process transactions and manage subscriptions
  • Send you service-related notices, updates, and promotional communications (with opt-out)
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve the Platform's performance and features
  • Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

Third-party companies that help us operate the Platform (hosting, analytics, AI processing, customer support, payment processing). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Veterinary Professionals

When you use VetSheet or share health records with a vet, the relevant data is shared with the veterinary professional you select.

BooApp Developers

Third-party BooApps may access certain data (e.g., pet profiles) with your permission, as governed by the BooApp's declared permissions.

Community Content

Content you post publicly (posts, comments, reviews) is visible to other users.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information in response to lawful requests by courts, regulators, or government authorities.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

With Your Consent

We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and secure cloud infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform and Firebase.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform's services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

AI analysis data (images submitted for health triage or gait analysis) is processed in real-time and not permanently stored unless you choose to save results to your pet's health record.

As a global platform serving users across 20+ countries, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including Hong Kong (our headquarters), and locations where our cloud service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. 9. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyse traffic, and personalise content. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Essential cookies required for the Platform to function cannot be disabled.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
