Content Policies

Prohibited Content

  • Malware, spyware, or any code that harms users or devices
  • Content that promotes animal cruelty or neglect
  • Misleading health claims or fake veterinary advice
  • Illegal content or activities
  • Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Adult or sexually explicit content
  • Collection of user data beyond declared permissions
  • Crypto mining or excessive resource consumption

Data & Privacy

  • Clearly disclose what data your app collects in the privacy declaration
  • Provide a working privacy policy URL
  • Only collect data that is necessary for your app's functionality
  • Don't share user data with third parties without explicit consent
  • Implement data deletion upon user request

Quality Standards

Performance

App should load within 3 seconds. Avoid excessive network requests and large assets.

Stability

No crashes or unresponsive states. Handle errors gracefully with user-friendly messages.

UI Quality

Clean, consistent design. Follow the design guidelines. No broken layouts or visual glitches.

Functionality

All features must work as described. No placeholder content or unfinished features.

Common Rejection Reasons

  • Incomplete app: Missing features, placeholder content, or "coming soon" sections
  • Excessive permissions: Requesting permissions not needed by the app
  • No privacy policy: Missing or unreachable privacy policy URL
  • Poor UX: Confusing navigation, broken layouts, or unresponsive UI
  • Security issues: Exposed API keys, unencrypted sensitive data
  • Copycat app: Direct clone of existing apps without significant improvement

Speed Up Your Review

  • Include clear screenshots showing all key features
  • Write a detailed, accurate description
  • Only request permissions you actually use
  • Test thoroughly before submitting
  • Include a privacy policy URL if collecting any data
  • Respond to rejection feedback promptly
